Public meeting: Chairman opened the public meeting to the Members of Public (MoP) present at 19.00 and welcomed everyone.
Bus shelter: There has been no update since last month.
Hunt through the village on 1st February 2025: Chairman has written to the only contact he could find for the South Wolds Hunt group and asked them to ensure that residents are informed of any access that may be required for the hunt. To date there has been no contact or reply. It was suggested that Chairman and Clerk write to Mr Collington and the Abbotts telling them that there has been no response to our letter and giving them the hunt contact details and suggest that they contact the Hunt directly and advise them whether or not the hunt is welcome to cross their lands.
Demolished post box update: Chairman has had a response from the Post Office, saying that they probably will not replace the old letter box. There has been no further response from the Post Office.
Chairman thanked all the MoPs present for their input and participation and closed the public meeting at 19.11. Chairman reiterated that MoPs were welcome to stay, but that they were no longer able to participate.

Acceptance of the minutes was proposed by Cllr Brandwood and seconded by Cllr Lingard. Unanimously agreed at the subsequent vote. Chairman signed a copy of the minutes and will post a copy on the notice board. Minutes are available on the website.
Updates from previous month: Anglian Water: Nothing new to report.
VE day 2025 Commemoration: Cllr Brandwood advised that Rev Coates is unable to attend. The ensuing discussion centered around getting Rev Judith Simons to stand in. Running order is in place: Welcome; proclamation; names of the fallen + silhouettes; tribute; lighting of lanterns; act of remembrance; hymn; and “thank you” for coming to the service and invite to the hall.
RBL have suggested that there is an increased focus on the animals that were caught up in the war, hence we are also lighting a purple lantern.
Street parties are being encouraged – Cllr Brandwood asked if there was a guide anywhere on “how to set up a street party”. It was suggested that if any parishioner wants to set up a party, then the parish council and the village hall committee offer up the village hall and carpark as an aid to getting the party “off the street”. (Official GOV>UK site is available – search for “organising a street party”)
Cllr Brandwood will leaflet drop the village the week before to ensure that everyone knows the timings i.e., meet at 19.15 for commencement at 19.30.
Annual Parish Meeting: Clerk suggested that the date be moved from the 17th to the 24th of April, which was agreed. It was suggested and agreed that the meeting starts at 18.30 and will last for 30 minutes. At 19.00 the normal Parish Council meeting will start.
