In addition to reading and understanding the Local Government Act – 1972 Chapter 70 Part V it is also required that each councillor upon election send the following declaration to the Parish Clerk via email (Or print it out, sign and date, and hand to the Parsh Clerk):
“To the Parish Clerk of East Kirkby Parish Council.
I have read, and understand, the ‘Local Government Act 1972 Chapter 70 Part V’, and:
I confirm that I meet all the requirements for serving as a councillor for East Kirkby Parish Council, and:
I further confirm that I am not disqualified from serving as a councillor for East Kirkby Parish Council.
Dated, this day, - the date stamp of this email.
Signed”
