Welcome & Apologies and Approval of 2023 minutes
Chairman (Cllr B Nowicki presiding) welcomed the Parish Councillors and County Cllr W Gray to the Annual Parish meeting. There were no apologies presented.
Sadly, there were no Members of the Public (MoP) present.
Chairman asked for the Parish Council members to approve the 2023 minutes. They were unanimously approved at the vote. Chairman signed the minutes and will post a copy on the notice board.
Village Hall Update
Cllr Lingard gave an update on the Village Hall:
New doors have been installed and overall the hall is in a good state; Heating has been updated; There is a meeting planned for the villagers that have expressed an interest in joining the committee following the successful coffee morning on 24th March 2024; The accounts are being prepared.
Chairman’s report
Chairman took all present through what has happened in the last year:
Chairman mentioned that in 2023 EKPC raised the question of the information coming from ELDC and LCC all state “Printed by East Lindsey District Council or Lincolnshire County Council” which is so patently not true as all these notices are printed by the Chairman.
April 2023: There was a planned litter pick.
May: saw everyone re-elected unopposed. It was agreed that the Neighbourhood plan was still on the back burner due to lack of time.
June: A lot of MoPs raised the question about speeding and we requested an Archer survey. It turns out that we had an Archer survey in February 2024. Results to be distributed once analysed.
July: Footpath to Revesby was raised again. EKPC raised a £500 contribution.
September: Receipt of anonymous email, which we do not respond to. Cllr Brandwood advised that the choir has folded.
November: MoP raised the problem of hare coursing.
January 2024: Chairman reported back following the Neighbour Engagement session with the Police Commissioner.
February: Large numbers of MoPs attended and there was spirited discussion and the Revesby footpath was discussed. Children’s playground was discussed.
March: Ms Hardy from Highways attended, amongst other things discussed were FixMyStreet and a proposed bus shelter. Information board was finally fitted. Mr Warman expressed an interest in joining and was welcomed to the parish council.
Chairman expressed his personal thanks to all the councillors present for their dedication and support. Chairman also thanked the Clerk.
Chairman closed the Annual Parish meeting at 18.45.
The minutes will be approved at the next Annual Parish meeting in April 2025.
