War memorial update:

Road closure: Chairman has applied for the road closures through Lincs County Council (LCC). Chairman’s original contact for Murphy & Son has left, but Chairman has made contact with the replacement. Still awaiting full confirmation from Murphy & Son.

Choir: Cllr Brandwood has mentioned the event to the choir who are very willing to perform the hymns at the church. However, the choirmaster will be having surgery at the beginning of October so his presence is doubtful. This in turn may impact on the music to be played at the memorial itself. Carry forward.

Tommy Silhouettes: Cllr Brandwood has met with Ryan and Di who were meant to update the council on the progress of funds. Unfortunately neither were present at the meeting. Carry forward.

Leakes:  Have confirmed that works will commence in late July/early August.

Additional discussion items: RBL may be able to provide a standard bearer if we contact them in plenty of time. Discussion ensued regarding wreaths and it was generally agreed that laurel wreaths should be laid. Cllr Lingard will ask the lady who does the flowers for the church if she can make laurel wreaths.
